Where it fits

Two kinds of work sit here, and they are not the same job.

A website presents the business: services, projects, products, news, and a way to enquire. AgriDev and Alpha Green are that kind of site, both on WordPress, both edited by the team.

A web app is software in the browser. People log in, and the screen changes with the work: queues, a map, a schedule, reports. The NeonTask dispatcher tool is that kind of product.

If the thing people install from the App Store or Google Play is the product, that is mobile app development. A CRM your staff live in all day is custom CRM development, which is a web app with a narrower job. The plain test is in website or web app.

What you get

Scoped to the site, not a fixed bundle:

  • A business website on WordPress when the team needs to edit it themselves. AgriDev has home, about, services, projects, blog and contact, plus an enquiry form and page caching for image-heavy pages. Alpha Green has home, about, production, products and a blog, plus an enquiry form with an international phone field. Those product pages describe what the farm grows.
  • A web app, dashboard or API in Next.js, React or .NET Core when the product is software. NeonTask's web app is Next.js on a .NET Core API: intake, queues, list, map, schedule, receivables and reports.
  • Hosting setup at launch. NeonTask runs as Dockerized services with CI/CD, one deployment per client company.
  • Arabic, English, or both, with proper right-to-left layouts, when the site needs them.
  • On a redesign, an inventory of the URLs that already matter, a redirect map, a staging check, and a launch you can watch. The method is redesigning a website without losing your Google rankings.

WordPress versus a custom Next.js build, including when each one is the wrong tool, is in WordPress or a custom Next.js site.

How a project runs

  1. 01

    Email

You write to hello@eliechaaban.com. We then talk through the project and the goals.

  2. 02

    Proposal

A fixed quote, with the scope and timeline agreed in the proposal.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and development, with regular previews so you see progress.

  4. 04

    Launch

We go live, including hosting setup.

Ownership

You do. Full ownership of the code passes to you after the final payment. On a new project, the repository and the relevant Apple, Google, domain and hosting accounts are set up in your name.

The same applies to a WordPress site: you hold the domain, the hosting and the content, not only a login I can revoke.

After launch

Support and maintenance are agreed per project, based on what the site and the business need.

For a website that usually means WordPress core and plugin updates, checked before they go live, plus a look at speed when a change makes pages slow. For a web app it means framework and package updates, with attention to security advisories, backups, and fixing bugs real use uncovers. New pages, new features and new integrations are separate work. Details are in app maintenance after launch, which covers websites as well as apps.

Selected work

Public sites only, described the way the case studies already describe them.

What to send

Email hello@eliechaaban.com with as much of this as you know:

  • What the site has to do. Present the business, take enquiries, or run a logged-in operation.
  • Who edits it, and who else uses it.
  • Whether a site already exists, and the domain.
  • Pages or flows that must be in the first version, and what can wait.
  • Arabic, English or both.
  • A deadline, if you have one, and anything that is out of scope.

The quote is fixed once the scope is agreed. I do not publish a rate card. A useful brief is the one in how to write a brief.

Questions

Who is this for?

A business that needs a website its team can edit, a web app people log into, or both. If the product is mainly an iOS and Android app, that is mobile app development.

WordPress or a custom build?

WordPress when the team needs to edit the site themselves. Next.js, React or .NET Core when the product is a dashboard, a logged-in tool or an API. I will say which fits once I know what the site has to do.

Can you work with my existing site?

Yes. I can improve it, fix what is broken, or rebuild it if that makes more sense.

Who owns the code?

You do. Full ownership of the code passes to you after the final payment. On a new project, the repository and the relevant Apple, Google, domain and hosting accounts are set up in your name.

What happens after launch?

Support and maintenance are agreed per project, based on what the site and the business need. New features are scoped separately.

What should I email for a quote?

What the site has to do, who uses it, whether a site already exists, what must be in the first version, and which languages you need. There is no standard price. The quote follows that scope.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer, Whish or OMT.
